1. Society of Oral Laser Applications (SOLA) India is a professional body comprising of like minded laser professionals. The society is affiliated to ESOLA ( European Society of Oral Laser Applications) headquarted at Vienna under Dr Moritz, who is attached to the University of Vienna as laser chief. Sola -India aims at promoting the laser science in the best possible interests of the patient care and secondly to conduct laser education in India and South- East Asia.
Sola India firmly believes in imparting the knowledge of lasers to dentists so that they understand the science and then apply the same in clinical practice.
Sola India conducts a diploma course in association with ESOLA in India which is a four-five day course with faculty from Vienna and India. The course fees is 120000/- plus taxes. The module is both theory and clinicals along with hands on, Sola India neither promotes any laser Co. nor any particular laser wavelength.
After the module, the participant has to complete the log book where in 80 cases of lasers have to be documented, after which they have to appear for MCQ exams conducted by ESOLA. Passing of this exam is a must for them to get the certificate. The ESOLA program is affiliated with University of Vienna. For Masters in Lasers - the candidate has to go for a week long training in lasers at Vienna and submit their research dissertation there.
"European Society for Oral Laser Applications" or ESOLA which has its Head Office at Vienna conducts diploma and masters courses through a tie up with several international universities. ESOLA Laser Academy provides a certified postgraduate educational program for dentists and specialists, who will be trained in 3 step module course in all fields of laser dentistry.
In India, SOLA - Society for Oral LASER Applications (Affiliated to European Society for Oral Laser Applications) conducts these courses under aegis of ESOLA. There are centers like Rangoonwala Dental College, Pune where one gets to do the first two modules to get a Diploma but for the Masters degree one needs to complete the 3rdmodule as well as clear the final exam, both in Vienna.

2. Indian Academy of Laser Dentistry conducts comprehensive certificate programme, Diploma Course and a Mastership Status programme in multiple modules in affiliation with RWTH Aachen University, Germany. One can also directly get into Master of Science programme in Lasers in Dentistry, which is a full time course of 24 Months at RWTH Aachen University, Germany.
